Topics: The diagram below shows the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.

The two diagrams illustrate the process of making cement and how the cement is used for concrete production.   As can be seen from the graph, the two productions include a number of complex steps from a few materials used for preparation of concrete mixture.

In the first diagram, a mixture of limestone and clay is crushed into powder then goes through a mixer. After that, this powder is heated in a rotating heater with fire. The resulting mixture is ground by a grinder in order to produce cement. The final product is packed into bags to be used afterwards.

The second diagram illustrates how concrete is manufactured that include cement, water, sand and small stones named gravel, put into a mixer to make concrete for constructing purposes. Specifically, water accounts for the least at 10% of these materials. Besides cement and sand take up 15% and 25% respectively. And finally,  half of the prepared materials is gravel.
